Society erodes my self-esteem as it takes control of my very being. Every new chink is a brick in the collective. I live my life based on what others think is right. The clothes I wear, the car I drive, the size of my waist, all dictated by a higher power. This power not of deity but of wealth. The power we, as people, gladly give to them. I am rejected for not adhering to these guidelines, tossed out of the collective, to fend on my own. I act like I don't care. I don't care what they think.
